The 2023 China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Council Meeting kicked off in Beijing on Dec. 15th. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China Chamber of International Commerce attended and addressed the event.
?On the sidelines of the meeting, upon the CCPIT’s invitation, a business leaders networking reception was also co-hosted by the CCPIT and principals of foreign chambers of commerce in China, representatives from renowned domestic and international companies, and executives of vice chairman member enterprises.
?Zou Lei, Chairman of China Datang, attended the event upon invitation and delivered a speech titled "Pursuing Green Development through Openness and Cooperation."

In his speech, Zou emphasized that 2023 marks a turning point for economic recovery and development after the COVID-19 pandemic. It also signifies the beginning of a new chapter in international economic cooperation and exchanges in the "post-pandemic" era, Zou noted.
?At the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced eight major steps, one of which is to promote green development. Zou stressed that as a major player in the energy sector, China Datang is eager to collaborate with the CCOIC and its members to embark on a new journey of the golden decade, accelerate green and low-carbon development, and empower a clean and beautiful future.
?We have followed the principle of “construction before destruction”, and effectively balanced transformational development with energy security. We are committed to driving innovation and fostering the integration of the industrial chain, innovation chain, and talent chain for enhanced growth. Furthermore, we adhere to openness and cooperation, bridging domestic and international markets, said the chairman.
?Looking ahead, China Datang is ready to deepen practical cooperation with the CCOIC and its members, and build a high-quality and green Belt and Road cooperation, thus contributing to the building of a global community with a shared future and a better world for all, Zou noted.
?During the business leaders networking reception, Zou engaged in discussions with principals from foreign chambers of commerce in China, such as the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and the American Chamber of Commerce in China, as well as entrepreneurs from prominent Chinese and international companies, including Marubeni Corporation and Honeywell International Inc.
?Executives of relevant departments from China Datang also attended the above events.
